Setting up a MessageBird account and WhatsApp channel
To set up a MessageBird account and a WhatsApp channel, you will need the following:
A Facebook account.
You will need to log on to your Facebook account and have access to your company's Facebook Business Manager.A Facebook Business Account.
This account MUST be a verified account. Ensure your personal Facebook account is connected to the Facebook Business Account, and that you have an Owner role.FMI: For more information about Facebook verified accounts, see About verified Pages and profiles.
A phone number to use with a WhatsApp account.
The phone number MUST be owned by your company. You SHOULD NOT use your own personal phone number. This will be the number assigned to the integration and end-users will send messages to this number.
The number MUST NOT have been linked to WhatsApp before.
You MUST be able to receive phone calls or SMS messages at this phone number.
