Add Event Type
To add an event type:
- Click Add Event Type, located at the top of the tab.
2. The Add Event window opens. Complete all fields in the window (see below for Add Event window and refer to Table 4 for a detailed description of all fields).
3. Click Save when all fields are complete.
4. The Save Event Type confirmation dialog box appears. Click OK.
5. The event will appear in the Event Type list.

Event Type | In the drop-down menu, select the type of event: Working Event or Non-working Event.

Event Code | In the drop-down menu, type an event identifier for the event (e.g. TR for Training). |
Event Name | In the drop-down menu, type the event name. |
Event Program | In the drop-down menu, select the duration of the event: At Any Time, All Day, Only AM, or Only PM.

Select Color | Select a color from the color palette, located on the right side of the window, by moving the cursor across the palette and clicking Select Color. The selected event color will appear in the Color Selected box located on the left side of the screen. |
Max. users per days | Type the maximum number of users that can attend the event. |
Days notice | Type the total number of days before an event occurs that users must give notice if they want to attend the event. |
Max of continue days | Type the maximum number of consecutive days a user can be scheduled for the event; this indicates how many days users will need to be scheduled off (e.g. If the maximum number of continuous days is three, users can only be scheduled for an event for a maximum of three consecutive days. |
Allow outside business hours | Select the checkbox if the event can be scheduled outside of business hours. Business hours are related to the shift the agent will work on the day the event will occur. Example: Training is planned on Monday for Jane. On Monday, the shift will occur from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If Allow outside business hours is not selected the training cannot be planned on Monday, for Jane, outside the assigned shift time frame of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Once Allow outside business hours is selected, training can be scheduled outside the shift hours (before 8:00 a.m. and/or after 4:30 p.m.). Note: Business hours are determined by how they are set up in the Admin Portal. |
Allow on holidays | Select the checkbox if the event can be scheduled on holidays. Note: Holidays are determined by how they are set up in the Admin Portal. |
Buttons | |
Websafe | Selects the best color to be used over the web. If you will be posting your schedule in an online format, select a color from the palette and click Websafe. The color picker will move to select a color that matches closest to your selection. |
Inverse | Switches the selected Websafe color with the inverse color. |
Select Color | Click after selecting a color from the palette. The selected color will represent the newly created event and will be displayed on the schedule whenever the event is scheduled for a user. |
Close | Click to close the Add Event window. If the window is closed without saving the information, the event information will be deleted and will not be added to the schedule. |
