Bandwidth

Bandwidth provides programmable communication tools for making and receiving calls, sending and receiving text messages, and performing other communication functions using its web service APIs. In other words, Bandwidth provides SMS DIDs, in much the same way as Twilio does.

To access Bandwidth

  1. Log on to Contact Center Admin Portal as a system administrator

  2. Navigate to Integrations> SMS > Bandwidth. The Bandwidth page appears

     

There are two tabs on this page: SMS API Settings and Phone Numbers Import. Enter information into each one as described below.

 

SMS API Settings

In this tab, you configure the connection settings needed to use the Bandwidth API.

Enter information as described below, and then click Test Connection and Update Bandwidth Settings when done.

Important: You must have an account with Bandwidth to retrieve the information needed.

  1. User ID:

  2. Application ID:

  3. API Token:

  4. API Secret:

 

Phone Numbers Import

In this tab, you use the connection settings provided in the SMS API Settings tab to sync phone numbers.

Enter information as described below, and then click Test Credentials and Sync Phone Numbers when done.

Important: You must have an account with Bandwidth to retrieve the information needed.

  1. User ID: The same User ID entered in the SMS API Settings tab

  2. API Username:

  3. API Password:

  4. Existing Numbers: A list of numbers already imported from Bandwidth. This list might change after syncing with Bandwidth
