To add one or more shifts to a rotation:

  1. Click Add Shift.

2. A blank line appears in the Shift Information section.

3. Double click inside the Shift cell of the newly added shift line. In the drop down menu, select a shift you want to add to the rotation.

4. Once a shift is added to the rotation the Days, Week Pattern, and Hours Work columns in the Shift Information are automatically populated depending on the information entered when the shift was created. Simultaneously the Days and Hours Work fields in the Rotation Information section are automatically populated.

5. Repeat steps 1 to 3 for any additional shifts you want to add to the rotation; each new shift added will appear after the previously added shift. (If your rotation is comprised of various shifts, proceed to step 6, if your rotation is comprised of only one shift skip to step 7).

6. Select the Mixed checkbox for each shift appearing after the first shift in the Shift Information section (e.g. 2, 3, 4…) to ensure that all shifts are assigned to the same rotation. The first shift cannot be mixed. For example, if your rotation consists of four shifts: Monday, Tuesday-Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, the Mixed checkbox must be selected for the Tuesday-Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday shifts, otherwise each shift you add will be assigned to a different week.

7. Once all shifts are added to the rotation, click Save Rotation.

8. A Save Rotation confirmation dialog box appears. Click OK.

9. The new rotation is added to the list of rotations.

For information on inserting shifts, refer to Section 2.3.1.2 Insert Shifts. For information on removing shifts, refer to Section 2.3.1.3 Remove Shifts.
