To configure the details of your FTP Server, click on the FTP Server Options tab and fill in the following fields:

  • Protocol From the drop-down menu, define the transfer protocol to be used for exporting the data.
    • For more information on FTP, please see here.
    • For more information on FTPS, please see here.
    • For more information on SFTP, please see here.
  • Host Fill in the hostname of the FTP Server you are exporting the files to.
  • Port This field only needs to be filled out if you are using a port that is different than the standard port. If so, enter it in the Port field. Discuss this with your IT department if you are not sure which port should be used.
  • Username and Password Enter the username and password credentials for your FTP Server. These need to be entered as the server is secure.
  • Root Folder Define the folder that the files will be exported to. Files can be moved into other files of your choice at a later date.
  • Encryption mode From the drop-down menu, select the Encryption mode to be used when exporting the data.

    Discuss which Encryption mode is to be used with your IT department.
  • SSL/TLS protocols The standard protocol options have been provided here. Discuss with your IT department which protocols are to be used.

When all fields have been entered, click Test Connection. If you see the Connection tested successfully message at the top of the screen, then the connection between your Client Administrator Portal and your FTP Server has been established.

If you receive an error message, talk to the Administrator of your FTP site to determine the source of the error.


Note: Always click Update, located in the top right corner to save your changes. If Update is not clicked, any new changes made will not be saved.
